Are You Still Waiting For The “Right Time”? Do It Now!

You know that thought you have when you’re about to make a major decision in your business? That one that creeps in unannounced, tickling your negative senses and telling you – “It’s never going to work!”?

Yes, that very one… it’s time to put it away, for good!

Life will ALWAYS throw hurdles at us, irrespective of our status or position. It just doesn’t care that much about who we are or what we feel. It faces us squarely, and gets aggressive. Don’t wait for the “perfect” time, just do it (thanks Nike!).

Most successful people we read/hear about did not wait for the “right time”; as a matter of fact, the timing found them. How?

They got to work, and implemented what they knew and also learnt new things down the line. They never gave up when they failed, and as they carried on with the process, they discarded what wasn’t working and tried different approaches in the bid to achieve the goal they’d set for themselves… that’s when the time for their breakthrough came knocking.

You see, in that scenario, these individuals acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience in their journey, and based on that, they became not just successful achieving their set goal, but highly respected based on their wisdom in the field.

[bctt tweet=”It is better to try something out and realize that it doesn’t work, than wait for perfection.”]

You will end up waiting for a long time.

How long will you put away that business venture? That investment opportunity? That partnership? Getting that training course? Getting the help you need with your marketing? etc.

If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll notice that time is on a fast lane, and if racing is your thing, you’ll understand that there’s need for speed in today’s business world. We are already saying goodbye the first half of 2015. Six more months to go… so, how’s that new year’s resolution coming up? 🙂

One of the things that separates successful businesses from the rest is their ability to embrace and adapt to change, and within that context, they find better ways to approach their market. They understand the importance of getting things done (fast!), and tracking the results in order to know the areas they need improvement. They don’t wait for the perfect time, they race with time, and yes they do get stung by failures in the process, but that only propels them further in their zeal to win!

Another thing that helps these businesses succeed are tested and proven systems; they create effective marketing sequences (a scientific approach to marketing), using strategies and tools designed to establish good understanding between the seller and the buyer.

How does that relate with the whole ‘time’ issue?

I’m glad you asked…

A marketing sequence is designed to achieve certain purposes, and the main one is to generate sales and revenue. While some businesses wait for the right moment to set one up, the smart businesses are already ahead with theirs, and well positioned to attract the right prospects. They collect enough data in the process, which gives them insight into the behavior of their marketplace; they are then able to use that information to structure strategic marketing plans for their business.

My products and services are seasonal, therefore I need to sell them at the right time (i.e. the right season)!

I get that! However, does that mean you close shop until the next season? The timing based on season should not deter anyone from keeping their business afloat. You just have to be more innovative. So, here’s the question…

What else can you offer to your existing client base to keep them loyal, and happy enough to buy your next line of seasonal products and services?

If you have been in the habit of putting things away, and making excuses as to why you can’t get it done now, then success will be but a myth to your ears.

The idea here is not to encourage rash decisions, just because you want to get things done. But for you to apply wisdom in your approach and be willing to accept responsibility for every action you take; while staying consistent all the way!

Are you still trying to figure out how to improve your marketing in order to increase sales and generate maximum profit? Then pay attention to this!

I’m setting out time to help only a handful of businesses with the creation of an effective marketing sequence which will help them achieve their desired business goal(s) on the long run.
